About your guides,
Radha & Amanda
Marisa Radha Weppner
Marisa Radha Weppner is a mom, author, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, DJ, teacher, minister, psychedelic therapist, community organizer, life coach, podcaster, and entrepreneur. She has taught yoga since 2002. Known for her authentic self-expression, humorous yet grounded, she empowers others to embody their soul’s wisdom, bringing a real-world mix of eastern spirituality and western psychology to her students for remembering, empowerment and transformation.
As a lover of the wild and free, she has taught at festivals all over the world, like Burning Man, Bonnaroo, Ram Dass Retreats, the Entheowheel, Symbiosis Gathering, Eclipse Festival, WTF, Udaya Live, Wanderlust, the Women & Leadership Conference, and Sun Valley Wellness Fest. She humbly connects with a deep legacy of wisdom by being on Faculty at Esalen Institute. As a passion project that weaves together her love of music, yoga and community, she is the co-director and producer of Yogafort for Treefort Music Fest.
Her mother named her Marisa, but her teacher Ram Dass blessed her with the name Radha. In 2018 she was visiting Ram Dass at his home in Maui, supporting her partner who was working on an album with him. At the end of the recording session, after giving the name Krishna to her partner, and with a twinkle in his eye, he looked straight at her and said, "And you, you are Radha!" Then slapped his thigh and laughed like it was the most delightful thing in the world. She laughed with him, full of joy. She likes it when people call her Radha. It reminds her of her connection to her beloved teacher and invites her to be as deeply devoted, loving and generous as possible.
Amanda Giacomini
Amanda Giacomini aka 10,000 Buddhas is an artist, yogini and gifted storyteller. Her 10,000 Buddhas project was inspired by ancient Buddhist artwork in the Ajanta caves in India. This experience sparked an awakening which led her on a mission to paint 10,000 Buddhas. Now 10,000+ later, 10,000 Buddhas has become a worldwide, highly sought after art project, including large scale murals, fine art paintings, works on paper, and apparel. She’s taught yoga everywhere from prestigious art museums & yoga conferences, to The White House and the Forbidden City in China. She’s also the is the co-founder and director of Point Reyes Yoga in Northern California since 2001.
Amanda is a kind and compassionate teacher. She calls on her more than two decades of practice to support students in letting go of stress and opening up to their own innate peace and joy. During the retreat she will offer nourishing yin and gentle yoga woven with mythic stories from the Celtic tradition. She will also share the wisdom she has gained on her own path as an artist and offer tools and practices to spark your own creative play.
